Summer T is a 1 ½ year old Shepherd mix who is incredibly sweet, sensitive, and affectionate. Since mid-April she has been in foster care in a home with adults, teenagers, and other dogs. Some of her favorite things are chasing and retrieving balls, playing tug with people or other dogs, and curling up next to you while you work or relax. She often spends the day in an office contentedly chewing on a bone while multiple people come and go. She sleeps quietly through the night on her dog bed in our bedroom. Summer T is a wonderful companion dog, looking for someone to share her love.

Summer T had been in the shelter since January and was showing signs of the stress of shelter life.  When she came to us she was initially a bit fearful, but in the matter of a few days blossomed into her sweet, affectionate self.  She especially loves to spend time with our 13 year old daughter.

 

She is great with our nine year old dog, and especially loves to play tug with him.

Summer T is housebroken and is past the stage of chewing inapproapriate household items.  She loves to chew on rawhides, bully sticks, stuffed sterile bones and antlers.
